IPhone 17 Series Battery Capacity Revealed Before Launch, Here's The Leak

JAKARTA Leaks about the iPhone 17 series battery have continued to circulate in recent months. Ahead of its launch, the latest details regarding the phone battery provide more complete insight.

This latest data circulated after the iPhone 17 series battery capacity leaked in China's regulatory database. In the leak, rumors about the Pro Max model that will adopt batteries above 5,000mAh are most likely true.

Based on data uploaded by the ShrimpApplePro account on X, according to MacRumors, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will have a battery capacity of 5,088 mAh. This figure marks an almost 8 percent increase compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

The shared data also reveal battery capacity for other models. iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max will have two versions of the battery, namely with or without a physical SIM card slot. It depends on the country where the sale is.

The version without SIM card slots generally has a larger battery capacity. For example, the iPhone 17 Pro with a SIM slot with a capacity of 3,988 mAh, while the version without a SIM offers 4,252 mAh.

This difference is caused by a wider internal space without SIM slots. The iPhone 17 Air, known for its ultra-thin design, will have a battery capacity of around 3,036mAh for those with SIM slots and 3,149mAh without SIM slots.

This capacity is low compared to other models. Despite offering the least battery capacity, this model is rumored to be equipped with Apple's C1 modem which is more power efficient to optimize performance.

Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 17 battery capacity is only visible in one version. It is not clear whether a capacity of 3,692 mAh will be used for models with or without SIM card slots. To find out if all this information is valid, we need to wait for the device to be launched on September 9.
