GoTo Confirms Its Driver Partners Are Present In Dialogue With Vice President Gibran

JAKARTA - PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) confirmed that one of the online motorcycle taxi drivers who attended a discussion with Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Mohamad Rahman Tohir, Gojek's active partner since 2015.

GOTO's Director of Public Affairs & Communications, Ade Mulya, explained that his party together with other applicators received an invitation by the Vice President's Office to present representatives of online motorcycle taxi partners (ojol) from each platform.

"We also want to emphasize that Mohamad Rahman Tohir or who is familiarly called Cang Rahman, one of the dialogue participants who has been busy being a public conversation lately, is indeed Gojek's active partner since 2015," Ade said in his official statement, Tuesday, September 2.

Ade appreciated the government's move, and said that the purpose of holding the dialogue was to hear directly the aspirations of the partners.

We really appreciate every official invitation addressed to driver-partners. Thus, we can ensure that the partners present are truly active, working daily, engaging in the community, and trusted by their colleagues," he added.

According to Ade, the aspirations conveyed in the forum come entirely from partners, ranging from requests for support for the families of colleagues who have passed away, solidarity with fellow drivers, to hopes that the situation remains safe and peaceful.

"For us, every dialogue space with the government is a valuable opportunity. We believe the sincere voice of the partners is the strongest foundation to find a common solution for a better future," concluded Ade.
