JAKARTA – DeepSeek, a Chinese Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform, has announced new regulations in its home country. All content generated by DeepSeek will now be labeled as AI-Generated.
This policy was launched to increase transparency regarding AI-generated content. According to DeepSeek, as reported by GizmoChina, this is necessary to prevent the misuse of AI and ensure that users can distinguish between human- and machine-generated content.
This update regarding AI labels has been sent to all DeepSeek users. The platform emphasizes that every product generated by its AI systems must include both easily recognizable markers and hidden technical marks.
Visible markers can be text, audio announcements, or graphics that appear within the content. Meanwhile, hidden markers are embedded in technical data containing details about the content type, the creator company, and a unique ID number.
DeepSeek prohibits users from altering or hiding these labels. To prevent such actions, any user attempting to remove or falsify AI marks from DeepSeek-generated content will face legal action.
This policy was not launched on a personal initiative. DeepSeek implemented these rules to comply with new Chinese government regulations, which require all AI content to have traceable and non-manipulable labels.
Along with this announcement, DeepSeek also released a technical guide explaining how its AI works. This document was launched to help people understand its technology and use its AI models responsibly.
