JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital is providing digital bookkeeping training to the administrators of the Merah Putih Village Cooperative (KDMP) to achieve efficient and transparent financial management in the digital era.

Minister of Communication and Digital, Meutya Hafid, stated that implementing digital bookkeeping will reduce complexity and the potential for errors when recording transactions.

"We are providing training and upskilling for the digitalization of cooperatives so that the services provided can also be digital-based, making them more efficient and transparent," said Hafid in a statement.

This training material is one of a kind targeting KDMP administrators in Indonesia, especially in regions with high levels of digital literacy.

"We will provide digital training with a curriculum tailored to the conditions of each region," Hafid explained.

In addition to digital bookkeeping training, the Ministry of Communication and Digital is also conducting cybersecurity training for KDMP administrators.

According to Hafid, KDMP stores a lot of personal data from the public, so KDMP administrators need to have knowledge about how to secure personal data.

Going forward, Meutya also requested input from KDMP administrators on the types of training needed so that the Ministry of Communication and Digital Development can prepare its curriculum.

"Perhaps we can use this as a model for conducting training at other KDMPs throughout Indonesia," she concluded.
