JAKARTA - Samsung introduced Micro RGB, the world's first television equipped with an LED RGB backlight on a micro scale. This smart television is quite large, which is 115 inches.
With the use of the LED RGB screen, abbreviating from red, green, blue, this television promises a more premium color accuracy and viewing experience. This technology is built on three color micro LEDs arranged in an ultra-thin pattern.
Each LED is less than 100 micrometers in size and is controllable individually. This structure allows precise control in each color, in contrast to conventional backlights, so that the screen will display the best colors and contrasts.
"With this launch, we set standards in the large ultra-premium TV market and strengthened our commitment to next-generation screen innovation," said Taeyong Son, Samsung's Executive Vice President, quoted on Tuesday, August 12.

Samsung also explained that the Micro RGB is powered by a special Artificial Intelligence (AI) engine that can optimize images and sounds. This technology analyzes each frame in real-time to produce a more real color.
The AI engine is also equipped with a Micro RGB Color Booster Pro. This feature is able to increase the color of the scene that looks dull. This screen is also equipped with the Micro RGB Precision Color feature which guarantees maximum color accuracy.
To enter the Samsung ecosystem, this smart television is equipped with Samsung Vision AI and a generative AI-based Bixby. After launching in Korea and the US, the Micro RGB will be available globally in various sizes.
