Samsung Galaxy Flip 7 And Fold 7 Can Be Opened-Closed Up To 500 Thousand Times

JAKARTA Samsung seems confident with the resilience of its newest foldable phones, namely the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7. Unlike the previous generation, the hinge on this new phone is much stronger.

Verry Octavianus, MX Product Marketing Senior Manager of Samsung Electronics Indonesia, said that the two phones can now be opened non-stop for thousands of times. This is thanks to its much stronger hinge.

"For foldable 7 (open-close resistance) it has reached 500 thousand times," said Verry when met by reporters before The First Galaxy AI Live Creation on Wednesday, July 30. "That (hold) is more than ten years."

With this ability, Verry also explained that the foldable phone can be opened and closed repeatedly to hundreds of times per day. In fact, users can open and close the Galaxy Flip 7 and Fold 7 130 times per day.

"(This capability) has been tested," explained Verry. "There are so many content that tests duality foldable 7 (and the device is proven to be) much stronger, including from the inside."

Verry also mentioned the support of Armor FlexHinge which made the two phones much stronger. As Samsung revealed some time ago, the Galaxy Flip 7 and Fold 7 used the third generation Armor FlexHinge.

This technology is 27 percent thinner and 43 percent lighter so that Samsung's foldable phones can be slimmer than the previous generation. In addition, this force is also supported by hinges that have new elements.

This pixel has a slimmer player and buffer element and produces a smaller size, but remains strong. This latest foldable phone from Samsung also uses an alloy material component that makes the phone structure stronger.
