JAKARTA Microsoft made an update that benefits Edge users recently. The browser can now process the entire interface element by about 300 milliseconds (ms) faster.
Microsoft, via its official blog, said that this was the result of development over the past few months. In recent testing, Microsoft Edge was able to achieve a global First Contentful Paint (FCP) below 300 milliseconds.
This fast loading process is based on Microsoft's ambitious performance targets. Based on industry research, delayed interface loading of more than 300 to 400 milliseconds can affect user satisfaction.
Therefore, Microsoft is determined to cross that threshold. The sooner the interface element is published, the sooner users can interact with the content they are accessing.
