Honor Magic V5 Ready To Launch Global On July 15

JAKARTA - Honor has officially confirmed that their latest foldable phone, Honor Magic V5, will make its global debut on July 15, 2025 in Malaysia. Previously, this device had already been launched on the Chinese market and is known as the thinst and lightst foldable phone in the world.

The launch in Malaysia is an important milestone because it is the first country outside China to receive the presence of Magic V5.

Through an official upload, Honor Malaysia emphasized that Magic V5 will come without compromise in important aspects such as battery, camera, and device resistance. This shows Honor's confidence in presenting superior products that can compete in the premium folding phone segment.

In the Chinese market, Honor Magic V5 is available in two battery capacity options, namely 5,820mAh and 6,100mAh. However, for the global market, it is likely that only the 5.820mAh variant will be released. Magic V5 carries a 7.95-inch main screen with a foldable panel LTPO AMOLED, as well as a 6.43-inch cover screen with OLED LTPO technology.

Magic V5 performance is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and is equipped with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. For photography purposes, this device has a 20 megapixel front camera on the cover screen or the main screen.

While on the back, there are three main cameras, namely a 50-megapixel main camera with an OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens with an autofocus, and a 64-megapixel telephoto periscope camera which is also supported by OIS.

Honor also embeds other flagship features such as a fingerprint sensor on the device side, double stereo speakers, wired fast charging 66W and 50W wirelessly, a USB-C Gen 3.1 port, and an IR blazer. With a thickness of only 8.8 millimeters and a weight of 217 grams, Magic V5 is one of the most concise and lightweight foldable phones in its class.

The presence of Honor Magic V5 in Malaysia will face off against classmates such as Oppo Find N5, Vivo X Fold 5, and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. Oppo has already released Find N5, while Vivo and Samsung are also preparing to launch their newest foldable devices on the Malaysian market in the near future.

With premium designs, advanced technology, and approaches targeting professional users and general consumers, it is believed that Honor Magic V5 will be one of the most taken into account in this year's folding phone competition.
