JAKARTA Baidu Inc, a technology giant from China, on Wednesday July 2 launched a video generator based on artificial intelligence (AI) aimed at business circles. In addition, they also made a major update to their search engine.
The video generator model is named MuseSteamer, which can turn images into up to 10 seconds of video. MuseSteamer comes in three versions: Turbo, Pro, and Lite, each for different business needs.
Over the past year, various major world technology companies and major AI players such as OpenAI have expanded their reach from chatbots to text or image-based video generators. In China itself, companies such as ByteDance, Tencent, and Alibaba have also launched similar AI models.

Unlike rival products such as Sora from OpenAI which are aimed at consumers through a subscription system, MuseSteamer is currently only available to business users, and Baidu has not released an app version for general consumers.
In addition to the launch of MuseSteamer, Baidu also announced a major update to their search engine. This update includes a new search box design that can now receive longer queries and support voice and image-based searches. Search content is now also more directed and personalized thanks to Baidu's AI technology support.
Baidu took this step amid increasing competitive pressure from other AI-based chatbots in China, such as ByteDance's Doubao and Tencent's Yuanbao, which are increasingly popular with local users.
