Resident Evil Requiem To Be Released Next Year

Capcom has announced that the latest title from the Resident franchise, Resident Evil Requiem, will be released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam on February 27, 2026.

But before that, Capcom said it would reveal a game demo that would appear and could be played for the first time at Gamescom 2025, which took place on August 20-24 at Cologne, Germany.

Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth title in the main series of Resident Evil. This title is designed from a combination of technological advances and the deep experience of the development team, thus producing stories with more extended characters and deeper gameplay.

"Supported by RE ENGINE and leveraging the full power of modern consoles, Resident Evil Requiem presents a tense realism that has never existed before," Capcom wrote in his game caption.

In addition, Capcom also claims that this game will present more complex character details such as real facial expressions, realistic skin textures, and even to sweat droplets.

Resident Evil Requiem will bring the players back to the iconic Raccoon City location, which combines very frightening psychological horror aspects with thrilling action.

Resident Evil Requiem will be equipped with dubbing and translational text in English, Latin American Spanish, Portuguese, Brazilian, Japanese, French, Italian, German, Spanish Castle, Russian, and Mandarin, plus text translations in Korean, Traditional Mandarin, Simple Mandarin, Arabic, and Polish.
