Kaspersky Appoints Defi Nofitra As The First Country Manager In Indonesia

JAKARTA - global cybersecurity company Kaspersky announced the appointment of Defi Nofitra as its first Country Manager for Indonesia, with a strategic focus on the company segment (enterprise).

Officially joining the company in May 2025, Defi will take further responsibility for implementing a strategic business vision to accelerate the growth of Kaspersky's industrial cybersecurity solutions and services in various sectors.

His appointment underscores Kaspersky's commitment to expanding its business record and strengthening Indonesia's position as the main focus market for the company.

Defi won a Master Management degree from Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Yogyakarta, and a Machine Engineering degree from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Bandung, Indonesia

With this new position, Defi will report directly to Adrian Hia as Managing Director for Asia Pacific (APAC) at Kaspersky.

In 2024, Kaspersky showed a strong performance, marked by sales growth of 11 percent. This year, we estimate that Indonesia will play an important role in our strategic direction," Hia said in a statement.

According to him, Defi's appointment marks a significant step in Kaspersky's continued expansion in the country. Because, Hia added, Indonesia is not only a potentially high market, but is also their priority in the Asia Pacific.

Defi is a veteran sales and channel (sales & channel) professional with more than 20 years of experience in the information and communication technology sector, not only in the Indonesian market but also throughout Southeast Asia.

"I'm happy to be a part of Kaspersky, especially when cybersecurity is one of the most dynamic fields in the technology sector," said Defi.

Defi said that businesses in Indonesia are currently at a critical point, where they must significantly strengthen cyber defenses due to increased volume and sophistication of attacks.
