JAKARTA Apple's plan to compete with the Meta and Ray-Ban collaboration devices is getting closer. The iPhone developer will reportedly release his first smart glasses at the end of the year.

Reporting from Bloomberg, Apple will produce a prototype of the wearable device by the end of this year. It is not yet known how many prototypes will be released, but sources familiar with the matter state that the number is large.

It is also not known what Apple's smart glasses look like. However, one of the sources stated that the glasses looked like Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, but were 'made better'.

It's unclear whether the performance or appearance is made better. The reason is, the components of Apple's smart glasses that have been leaked so far are no different from Ray-Ban Meta's smart glasses.

The device will be equipped with cameras, microphones and speakers. Apple will also add Siri's assistant to the smart glasses. That way, users don't need to open their iPhone just to ask questions.

Siri can analyze what the user sees with the camera embedded in the glasses, while Siri will use the microphone to process questions asked by the user. Most likely, Siri can also respond via speaker.

This ability is already in Ray-Ban smart glasses, namely with the support of Meta AI. The Artificial Intelligence Model (AI) can see objects in front of users through the camera and can receive questions directly.

In addition, smart glasses from Apple are reportedly capable of receiving phone calls, controlling music playback easily, conducting direct translation, and receiving directional instructions. All of this capability will be supported by the company's internal chips.
