The AI Overview Feature In Google Search Now Available In More Than 200 Regions With 40 Languages

JAKARTA AI Overview, a summary feature of Artificial Intelligence (AI) power in Google Chrome, is now available in hundreds of countries. Not only is the availability area increasing, language support is also increasing.

Through I/O, an annual development event from Google, AI Overview is now available in more than 200 countries and regions. For the language, this AI feature already supports more than 40 languages, including Arabic, Mandarin, Malay, and Urdu.

"As more and more people use AI Overviews, we see that they are getting more satisfied with the results they get," Google said on Tuesday, May 20. "We hope to help people find it easier."

Of the hundreds of countries supporting the search for AI Overview, the largest markets of this feature are the US and India. This can be seen from the many search results in both countries. Unfortunately, Google did not explain how many searches.

However, the tech company said that AI Overview managed to increase Google's use by more than 10 percent. After people used AI Overview, they flocked to include more queries that were still related.

"AI Overview makes it easy to submit different types of new questions, find information quickly, and explore relevant sites across the web," explains Google. "Everything is happening at the expected speed ... AI Overview provides the fastest AI response in the industry."

To support search optimally, Google is improving the model underlying this feature. The company plans to present a custom version of Gemini 2.5 which is claimed to be the most intelligent compared to other AI models.

"And we continue to bring new progress. Starting this week, we will present a custom version of Gemini 2.5, our most intelligent model, to AI Overviews in the US so that Search can answer more difficult questions," Google said.
