JAKARTA One UI 7 has been successfully launched to all flagship devices in the US, from the Galaxy S24 to the Galaxy S22 Series. Although this launch was slow, Samsung managed to expand its firmware.

Now, it's the turn of Galaxy Watch users waiting for the One UI 7 update on their devices. Unfortunately, this update may not happen on the device as One UI 8 is reported to be out early in the summer.

According to IposDev's account findings on platform X, citing from Android Police, Samsung will jump over the One UI 7 update on the Galaxy Watch. Instead, the device will immediately receive One UI 8 firmware around July.

One UI 8 in the beta test will appear in June. As usual, Samsung will release a testing version to the developer first before going to the public beta version. After that, the firmware will only be expanded in a stable version.

Samsung also never talked about the One UI 7 launch on the Galaxy Watch because they were too focused on expanding on the phone. Apparently, Samsung will miss the software version.

Basically, users will not be too disadvantaged by the missed One UI 7. The reason is, big updates in the firmware will not have a major impact on wearable devices.

However, users will go through some of the features that are suitable for use over the next few months. At least, the entire One UI 7 update will still be felt on the Galaxy Watch after they receive the One UI 8 firmware.
