JAKARTA Samsung presents various new innovations on its newest device, namely the Galaxy S25 series, thanks to Gemini. The reason is, there are many features supported by this big language model (LLM).

There are many things that Gemini can do with in the Galaxy S25 series, including exploring the culinary realm. Both professional and not, Gemini can simplify the cooking routine. In fact, users can develop their cooking creativity.

Ilham Indrawan, MX Product Marketing Senior Manager of Samsung Electronics Indonesia, explained that Gemini is now providing seamless multimodal search support. Therefore, users can find inspiration or develop ideas easily.

There are three main scenarios in relying on Gemini while cooking, from what was made to how to how to develop the menu. Here are three scenarios that Ilham says could optimize Gemini's use in the culinary field.

What Can Be Cooked

This is a simple scenario, but according to Ilham it is very much needed, especially during the month of Ramadan. Many people have difficulty finding cooking ideas, especially with limited ingredients. In this case, Gemini is urgently needed.

By only photographing the contents of the refrigerator, Gemini can provide a recommendation for the menu, including how to cook it. This ability can reduce wasted time due to overthinking.

Providing Low Calorie Food Options

If users have certain taboos in cooking because they are on a diet, Gemini can also consider the right calorie intake. That way, users can keep their food menu.

Interestingly, Ilham explained that Gemini could suggest gluten-free foods. Users can take pictures of the food they have and make more detailed prompts about gluten taboos.

"So, with the food ingredients in this refrigerator, I want to make low-calorie or gluten-free foods. Now, people are very concerned about gluten and this can be helped by Gemini," Ilham said at the Cook Like a Pro event on Monday, March 24.

Making Food Portion Calculations

According to Ilham, the most important thing is that Gemini not only provides food recipes, but can help take into account food portions. For example, the user takes pictures of the food ingredients he has and explains that he wants to cook for five people.

If the portion owned is only enough for three people, Gemini will provide additional advice on the necessary ingredients. This is the best way to properly manage the portion of the food without the need to take too much time.
