JAKARTA Samsung launched a smart refrigerator that was exhibited at CES 2025. This refrigerator was finally launched globally with the expected feature, namely Artificial Intelligence (AI) support.
There were three refrigerator models that were launched, namely a 4-door refrigerator, 4 French Door doors, and Side-by-Side. Samsung added a 9-inch AI Home screen to the three refrigerators as well as Vision Inside 2 AI technology to a 4-door model and 4 French Door doors.
This AI Vision Inside 2 support is also limited because it is available in certain models only. With this feature, users can identify what food is in the refrigerator and make food planning easier.
"Consumers can enjoy greater flexibility in choosing refrigerator designs while benefiting from Samsung's AI-powered smart home experience," said Jeong Seung Moon, EVP and Head of R&D Team for the Digital Equipment Business at Samsung Electronics.
AI Vision Inside has received a slight increase compared to the previous version. Samsung added four items to the food type list so that the AI feature can recognize 37 types of fresh and processed foods as a whole.

Samsung not only improves the AI food identification feature, but also the smart home connectivity. By increasing connectivity, users can experience a smarter ecosystem with more in-depth integration.
Users can also monitor and control Samsung equipment with Map View integration. To track or optimize their daily energy consumption, this smart refrigerator is also supported by SmartThings technology.
