JAKARTA WhatsApp will have the same ability as Instagram, which is music sharing support from Spotify. For now, this feature is only visible on WhatsApp beta for Android devices.
In version 2.25.8.3, based on WABetaInfo's findings, WhatsApp is working on various music features from Spotify. Later, this music can be shared to status updates. The display will be very similar to the sharing ability on Instagram.
When users tap on the music sharing options from Spotify, usually they will see Stories options, followed by WhatsApp, TikTok, and other platforms. However, in the beta version of WhatsApp, users will see a Status option when tapping the sharing option on Spotify.
If the Status button is taped, the user will be redirected to the WhatsApp status page. Users will see very standard visual previews, including album covers, song titles, artist names, to buttons that will direct other users to the song on Spotify.

This feature really helps users access the track without the need to search for the song manually. Interestingly, WhatsApp will integrate the 'Putar on Spotify' button in the status update so that users can listen to the song in one tap.
This WhatsApp and Spotify integration will improve user experience in interactively sharing music. Users will also not see links when sharing songs to status because the visuals have been made more attractive.
It is not certain when this feature will be available on WhatsApp beta for iOS. Currently, the feature is still being developed so it is possible that the launch will be delayed or take longer.
