JAKARTA Gemini has made a lot of improvements in recent times. This time, Google has again improved the performance of the big language model (LLM) by launching three new features.
The first feature that Google revealed was Canvas, an interactive space designed to facilitate the work of its users. This feature can help users in writing documents and codes. In addition, editing can be done in real-time.
The Canvas button will be visible at the bottom of the command typing bar, to be precise next to the Deep Research button. To get results that are integrated directly with the document, the user can apply for a command, then tap the Canvas button.
In Canvas, users can arrange their documents more concisely, professionally, or informally. Users can also compose speeches, revise essays, compile reports, and other creative writing in Canvas. Editing results can be exported as Google Docs.
Canvas not only functions as a writing medium, but can also be used to develop codes. In fact, this feature can turn a methoding idea into a prototype that will be used for web apps, Python scripts, and more.
"Canvas simplifies the entire coding process, so you can focus on creating, editing, and coding sharing and design in one place, without the need to bother moving between several applications," Google said on its official website.

Next, Google presents audio podcast friendly capabilities named Audio Overview. This feature is claimed to be available to Gemini users free or paid for, but it seems that the feature is not working properly.
From the demo Gemini showed, it can be seen that users can convert a document, slide, or Deep Research report into podcast-style audio. Gemini will summarize the material independently before explaining interesting topics.
When creating Audio Overview, Gemini will say that it will take them a few minutes to build and they should have sent audio files at the end. However, from VOI's test results, the free version of Gemini never made the audio.
The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
