Gemini Begins To Be Removed From Google App On IOS Devices

JAKARTA IOS users have slightly different Gemini access. When the app version is not yet available for iPhone and iPad users, users can only access Gemini through the Google app.

However, this support is no longer available. In emails sent to all Gemini users on iOS, Google says they have removed Gemini support from the Google app. That way, users are asked to download the app independently.

"We made some changes to create Gemini's better experience on iOS. Gemini is now available as his own app, and it's the best place to use Gemini," Google said in an email, quoted from 9to5google.

Google insists that users on iOS should download the Gemini app available on the App Store if they want to continue accessing the Artificial Intelligence (AI) assistant. This support was also removed because there are several Gemini features that cannot be accessed in the Google app.

Previously, iPhone or iPad users could open Gemini from the Google app. The company offers the ability to transition between Google Search and Gemini over the past few months.

Users can only apply for a simple or complex prompt to Gemini, but there is no support for giving commands via voice using Gemini Live. Google deliberately did not present this feature because it wanted to focus on its app version.

Gemini's interface has actually been removed since early February, but some users can still access its features via the Other tab in the Google version of 356.0. Now, if Gemini is opened via Google, they will see a warning that Gemini is no longer working and needs to be downloaded from the App Store.
