JAKARTA Discord launched its newest security patch on Tuesday, February 3. Through its official website, Discord explained that they launched more than 50 fixes, but there were 6 in the spotlight.
In this update, Discord is seen to focus on improving platform performance on Android. They have increased app launch times on Android by an average of about 20 percent. They also improve the strange behavior that damages the layout.
"Over the course of the months, we have received many reports of strange behaviors damaging the layout on Android," Discord said. "We identified and sent improvements to a series of issues in Android 13 and older versions."
Discord also announced that it has rewritten the Media Proxy service in Rust and modernized infrastructure to company standards. As a result, latency increased by about 22 percent and service reliability also increased.
Next, Discord stated that they have increased push notifications at all server sizes. Thanks to this update, servers containing less than 2500 users now have a 99.98 percent success rate in 30 seconds for push notification delivery.

If Discord users want to play an application without other users knowing, they can now launch an application on Direct Messenger (DM). This feature is provided specifically for Discord users on desktop. It is not yet known whether this capability will also be available on other devices.
The last highlight that Discord shared was a redesign for the Privacy and Security Settings menu. In this fix, Discord added a new tab structure, made the clustering better, and made a much clearer description.
"Privacy & Security Regulations in User Settings have been redesigned to improve easy discovery, usefulness, and scalability; pave the way for easier-to-use Trust settings," Discord said.
