JAKARTA-Microsoft and OpenAI are investigating whether data output from OpenAI technology has been illegally obtained by a group linked to China's artificial intelligence startup (AI), DeepSek. This was reported by Bloomberg News on Tuesday, January 28.
According to the report, Microsoft security researchers last fall observed individuals they believed had ties to DeepSee and suspected they had extracted large amounts of data using OpenAI's Application Programming Interface (API).
API OpenAI is a major way for software developers and business customers to access services from OpenAI. According to Bloomberg, Microsoft, as one of OpenAI's main supporters, has notified the ChatGPT makers of this suspicious activity.
