Indonesia Officially Has An Space Association To Encourage The Administrative Industry

JAKARTA - Indonesia officially established the Indonesian Space Association on January 21, 2025, as a forum for professionals and actors in the space world to foster the growth of the Indonesian antariksa industry.

The Founders and Board of Management of the Indonesian Space Association consist of practitioners in the national satellite industry, Adi Rahman Adiwoso and young national entrepreneur Aryo PS Djojohadikusumo and David Fernando Audy.

The presence of this space association also strengthens Indonesia's strategic position and role in the international space industry.

Chairman of the Indonesian Space Association, Adi Rahman Adiwoso, said, with the rapid development of technological innovation, Indonesia must have a strong commitment to increasing the capability and capacity of space technology in order to compete in the global space industry.

Indonesia is expected to be able to move further away from the position that used to be only as a space user, now has the ability to produce and launch space technologies.

"The establishment of the Indonesian Space Association is based on a big vision to support the progress of the national space industry so that Indonesia is one of the main players in the international world," Adi Rahman said in his statement.

The Indonesian Space Association is also committed to continuing to improve Indonesia's strategic role, advancing technology and the national space industry for the development, welfare, and security of the Indonesian state.

"Through independent space management and utilizing the latest space technology, Prabowo Subianto's government will participate in realizing Asta Cita which focuses on improving the country's defense system, self-sufficiency in food, energy, water, creative economy, green economy, and blue economy," explained Secretary General (Secretary General) of the Indonesian Space Association, Aryo PS Djojohadikusumo.

The presence of this space association is expected to further strengthen Indonesia in maximizing national sovereign rights to space access for the benefit of the government, military, private sector, and research institutions.
