Apple Sales Drop Over The Last Four Months In China

JAKARTA iPhone sales fell for four consecutive months in China. This is due to the number of non-Chinese brand distributions, including Apple, which are drastically decreasing in the country.

Based on official data revealed by 9to5mac, shipments of mobile phone brands from outside China have decreased by 47 percent year-on-year (YoY). This condition seems to be affected by the pressure from the complainant to buy domestically made mobile phones.

Over the years, the government has tried to invite its people to buy their own state-made phones, such as Xiaomi and Huawei. Although not officially banned, people are pressured in various ways to stop them from buying iPhones.

Reports of using an iPhone in China will be embarrassing. That way, local people have no choice but to stop using Apple and switch to Chinese phones.

Huawei, which has stopped using Chinese chips and foreign-made systems, has seen many improvements over the past few years. This device is considered increasingly sophisticated, some even think Huawei has managed to outperform Apple.

Both in terms of cameras and performance, Huawei's devices are starting to get global attention. This situation may make Apple worried because the company is seen providing a very rare discount in China.

Apple celebrated the new year by giving discounts of up to $70 (Rp1.1 million) for all the devices on sale, from the iPhone 16, iPhone 15 series, to the iPhone 14. Apple also provides discounts for purchases of Macs, iPads, and AirPods.
