JAKARTA Meta updated Quest's support page with bad news. The company said that three Quest models were damaged due to problems with the software update.
According to Meta's explanation, the problem was found in Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest 3S. In fact, this problem has been discovered since a few weeks ago, but at that time Meta said that the problem was only found in Quest 3S headsets.
"We are aware that some of the latest Meta Quest 3S devices are having an initial software update problem. Our team is working on finding a solution," Meta said in early December.
In accordance with the company's promise, most Quest devices have returned to normal operations. Currently, Meta is still trying to solve problems in affected software, including Quest 2 and Quest 3.

These two headsets are no longer getting a warranty period so Meta won't repair or replace the device. However, one of the Reddit users, according to The Verge report, said that Meta still supports Quest 2 and Quest 3 users.
In a confirmation email to customers, Meta says that older Quest headset users will get services beyond warranty. Meta Subscriber support is also claimed to have new directions regarding the problems facing users.
"Your headset should be safe to open/use now. Those who are still affected by this software update should contact Customer Support through the help center," said the Meta internal team at the community forum.
