JAKARTA - Gamers are not the only ones who like to use virtual reality (VR) devices to play. Farmers in Moscow, Russia, are even starting to use VR devices for their cows to produce more milk.

Launching from Engadget, the aim of breeders to modify the VR headset is to improve the mood of the dairy cows in producing milk. The VR image shown to the cows is also a view of a fresh green grass field.

"We simulate the view of the grass in the eyes of the cow, so that it can trigger the emotional atmosphere of the cows to produce more milk," said the head of the livestock administration in Moscow, Wednesday, November 27.

The research project on cows wearing VR devices was carried out at a farm in Krasnogorsk, northwest of Moscow City. In the first tests, the cows produced a higher volume of milk than before, even though the weather in Moscow was cloudy and cloudy.

If this research is successful, it is possible that dairy cows in Moscow will have VR devices attached to their heads. This allows the cows to continue to gaze at the expanse of green pasture, even when the weather is cloudy.

Not only in Moscow, this kind of research using VR devices was also carried out in the Netherlands and Scotland which shows that a calm cow's mood can increase milk production.
