JAKARTA Google Cloud announced a collaboration with Air France-KLM to implement a generalized artificial intelligence (AI) technology on airline data. This collaboration aims to improve data analysis and operational efficiency of the French-Dutch airline, in the coming years.
Air France-KLM, with an operational fleet of 551 aircraft and 93 million passengers transported by 2023, generates large amounts of data from commercial and cargo flights. Google Cloud will leverage its AI technology to analyze passenger preferences, travel patterns, and predict aircraft maintenance needs.
According to Google Cloud's statement, Air France-KLM will still have full ownership and control over the data used.

Google Cloud states that this technology will help airline groups understand passengers' preferences, travel patterns, and behavior more deeply. As a result, travel services can be more customized, flight operations and airports are increasing, as well as data analysis times for aircraft maintenance predictions can now be done in a matter of minutes than a few hours earlier.
"The airline generates large amounts of data, and this data has tremendous value to provide operational insight and create better customer experience," said Matt Renner, President of Global Revenue at Google Cloud.
This collaboration demonstrates the importance of AI in supporting digital transformation and efficiency in the aviation industry.
