JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital collaborates with IT practitioners to collaborate in maintaining digital space in Indonesia, especially from online gambling activities.

The Director General of Informatics Applications (Aptica) of the Ministry of Komdigi Hokky Situngkir said that in the meeting of the Minister of Education and Culture, Meutya Hafid with IT practitioners received a lot of input.

"The IT practice provides input to us, we also need to open input from the public, let alone practitioners, they are already experts, so they can help us to strengthen various kinds of informatics applications," he said after the Working Meeting with Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives on Tuesday, November 5.

Meanwhile, one of the IT practitioners who is also the Chairman of CISSReC, Pratama Persadha, stated that the collaboration commitment will be a milestone in eradicating online gambling in Indonesia.

"According to Pratama, in addition to collaborating with several parties, the steps that need to be taken as soon as possible in eradicating online gambling are to improve internal technology owned by the Ministry of Communication and Industry," he explained.

"So we discussed how to be effective in order to eradicate online gambling. What Komdigi does will not be alone because it will definitely involve other parties," he said.

On another occasion, cybersecurity consultant from Vaksin.com Alfons Tanujaya told VOI he suggested that Komdigi improve the monitoring and blocking system of online gambling sites.

Then evaluate user access on cranes to log reviews to track down anyone who has access rights and who is responsible if a gambling site is not blocked.

In addition, Alfons also encourages transparency of data on online gambling sites that have been blocked. This transparency is expected to provide a list of blocked sites along with the blocking time, so that people can check independently.
