JAKARTA Amazon has again postponed the launch of Alexa, its voice-based virtual assistant, the latest version. Supposedly, the device was released this year, but its launch has been postponed until next year.
This news was first revealed by Bloomberg. Sources familiar with the matter say that Alexa's Amazon development team has received the latest deadline. Instead of being accelerated, the manufacturing deadline is actually extended.
The fall date of this launch is also evident from Amazon's actions which have cut off beta access to the latest Alexa version. Previously, when Echo users said 'Alexa, let's talk', the device would respond. However, now no longer.
When saying the same word, the intelligent assistant will respond with, "Come on Ngobrol is no longer available. For now, you can ask me a question or do things like tuning timers, playing music, turning on connected lights, and more."

According to several parties, Alexa's latest launch was slow due to the many problems with the assistant. As long as it's available in beta, Alexa responds slowly, sounds stiff, hallucidating, and disrupts smart home integration.
Virtual assistants should provide an appropriate and fast response. However, in the latest version Amazon is developing, Alexa provides a long-winded answer. This ability is inversely proportional to Amazon's wishes.
Amazon is trying to make cheaper devices without getting rid of big language model (LLM) support. Hopefully, the latest Alexa can communicate more naturally. Unfortunately, Alexa's beta version does not show smooth communication.
