Deputy Minister Of Communication And Information Nezar Patria Leads The 79th Bhakti Postel Day Ceremony In Bandung

BANDUNG - Commemorating 79th Bhakti Postel Day, Deputy Minister of Communication and Information, Nezar Patria attended a commemoration ceremony which was held on Friday, September 27 at the Head Office of PT Pos Indonesia in Bandung.

This commemoration ceremony was attended by all telecommunication service providers such as XL Axiata, Telkomsel, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Ministry of Communication and Information, Association of Indonesian Internet Service Providers (APJII), and also the Association of Telecommunication Network Operators (APJATEL).

In his remarks, Nezar said that this ceremony not only became symbolic, but also a reflection of every journey of the Indonesian nation in the post, telecommunication and broadcasting sectors.

Looking back a little, on September 27, 1945, exactly 79 years ago, the Young Forces of Telegrap Posts and Telephones (AMPTT) managed to return the Telegrap Post and Telephone (PTT) to the lap of Mother Earth.

"Today, this spirit is in line with the commemoration of the 79th Bhakti Postel Day which carries the theme Nusantara Digital for Advanced Indonesia," said Nezar to all the ceremony participants present.

Currently, he said the number of post offices in 2022 has reached 16,984 points throughout Indonesia. In addition, the reach of postal services has also reached 100 percent of cities/districts, almost 100 percent in sub-districts, and has reached 940 remote locations in Indonesia.

Nezar also expressed his appreciation to all stakeholders in the post, telecommunication and broadcasting sectors, which have improved connectivity and communication throughout the country.

"Let's make this anniversary of Bhakti Postel Day a moment to celebrate the achievements we have achieved, while strengthening our commitment to always contribute to spreading quality information, educating the public, and continuing to advance the Indonesian post, telecommunication and broadcasting sectors, in order to realize Indonesia Emas 2045," concluded Nezar.

In this event, there was also an embedding of honors and the submission of a charter from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, handing over ties to AMPTT veterans, and signing the 79th Bhakti Postel Day Commemoration Cover in 2024.
