JAKARTA Android's operating system (OS) has continued to evolve since it was first launched, ranging from very simple to filled with the Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature. However, the release journey is not always smooth.

Behind the current success of Android OS, there are several versions of the system that are considered very bad, both by users and developers. Here are some of the worst Android versions in history, quoted from Android Police.

Android Marshmallow

This sixth Android system has several advantages, one of which is longer battery life than before. However, this OS also brings problems such as unclear and complicated application permits, poor performance on older devices, and others.

Although it is one of the worst, this version of Android can also be the best because it brings considerable changes such as the presence of a fingerprint sensor, USB-C port support, to the launch of Android Pay which later changed its name to Google Pay.

Android Lollipop

Lollipop is the previous version of Marshmallow, namely Android 5.0. This OS is the second worst because it is filled with bugs and performance problems when it was first released. One of the problems is draining the battery faster.

In fact, Google is trying to overhaul Android by launching this OS, but the result is far from good. The thing to remember is Android 5.0 is far behind iOS 8 so many users think that this Android version is very bad.

Android Honeycomb

The last version of Android to be considered the worst in history was Android 3.0 Honeycomb. This OS isn't just the worst, but it's a huge failure. This Android is less competitive with the iPad and many don't use the OS.

Android Honeycomb was released for tablets, but tablet users with Android systems were still very low at the time. Reportedly, these updates were only available on a dozen devices, but were full of bugs, crashes and other stability issues.
