IPad Mini 7 Coming With Improved Performance

JAKARTA-0 Apple launched the iPad Mini 6 in September 2021. Previously, this tablet was expected to be announced around the same time last year, but that didn't materialize. Now, it seems that Apple will finally launch this product towards the end of this year.

This news comes from Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, who speculates that the latest models will be coming soon. He revealed that many Apple Stores lack current iPad Mini stock in various configurations, and this device is also considered "constrained" internally inside Apple.

According to him, it is not surprising that the successor to the iPad Mini 6 will soon be launched, with improvements that include AI features. Apple has added several AI features to iOS and iPadOS.

Sources indicate that Apple will launch this new product at a press conference in September or October this year.

The iPad Mini 7 will retain its classic design and predecessor display. The screen size and weight of the device are also likely to stay the same. As a reminder, the iPad Mini 6 weighs 293 g (Wi-Fi) / 297 g (Wi-Fi + Cellular), uses a 19.3 battery, and only 6.3 mm thick.

The experience of scrolling in its predecessor is not very good and has a jelly effect. According to reports, the iPad Mini 7 will use a new screen controller to fix this problem. This will significantly increase the screen's responsiveness, ensuring all content remains consistent and smooth when scrolling, providing a more comfortable visual experience. The device still uses an IPS LCD panel, just like its predecessor.

Other areas that may have increased are memory and storage, with RAM increasing from 4GB to 8GB. In terms of storage, 128GB may be a new standard, which should help improve the multitasking experience.

In terms of performance, the sixth generation iPad Mini is equipped with the A15 chip, and analysts show that the iPad Mini 7's "major selling value" will lie in the chip used.
