Apple Will Add Two Exclusive Features On WatchOS 11

JAKARTA Simultaneously with the launch of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, watchOS 11 will be released in the fall of this year. This operating system (OS) will include features that are more sophisticated than previous updates. Of the many features to be rolled out on watchOS 11, there are two features designed exclusively for some devices. The two features are Tap to Cash payment alternatives and Ultra Wideband home keys. Although your Apple Watch is compatible with watchOS 11, these two features are not necessarily available on your device. This can happen because your device is inadequate or not in accordance with processing requirements. Tap to Cash is a feature launched to support payments quickly. To use this feature, users only need to tap their Apple Watch on someone else's iPhone or Watch to pay through Apple Cash.

Meanwhile, Ultra Wideband is a smart key feature that can open the door quickly and easily. Not only compatible with a certain Apple Watch, this feature can only be used if your home door supports a smart key. Unlike smart keys in general, users don't need to tap their watch into the lock. With very precise distance detection, Ultra Wideband can unlock automatically when the user is near the door. Both features will be available on Apple Watch 7, Apple Watch 8, Apple Watch 9, Apple Watch Ultra, and Apple Watch Ultra 2. Especially for the second generation Apple Watch SE, only Tap to Cash features will be available, while Apple Watch 6 will only get Ultra Wideband features.
