JAKARTA Apple will launch the Password application after iOS 18 is released in the fall of this year. Once the system is updated, Password will be installed and replace third-party applications such as 1Password.
Password will offer a variety of features that can be found in the 1Password service, but there are two features that won't be found in Apple-made apps. The two features are Secure Notes and Credit Card Information.
Reporting from 9to5google, 1Password has a variety of data management menus such as login, password, verification code, and more. 1Password has two additional data types, but Apple's Password doesn't have them.
There is a clear reason why Password does not have a Credit Card Safe Note and Information. Apple Notes, a note application on Apple devices, provides a secure record feature independently and users can use biometric authentication.
Users can open the application using Face ID or Touch ID so users don't need to save other important notes in the Password application. The same applies to Credit Card Information data.

On iPhone, users can save credit cards in the Wallet application. Credit card numbers will be stored in the saved Credit Card menu in Settings. Users only need to open Safari, then search for the Automatic Content menu.
Although it can be seen in the Automatic Content settings, the Wallet or Settings app does not display a complete credit card number. This is one of Apple's shortcomings because 1Password is much more efficient in storing credit card information.
