JAKARTA - Ford is tempted to recall a number of Mustang Mach-E electric cars that have been sent to customers. The recall was made because Ford found that the subframe bolts were loose and not up to standard, had been delivered to 75 percent of customers.

Launching Slashgear, Tuesday, March 9, Ford said that the problem made the vehicle not up to standard. The company is also not aware of any accidents caused by these conditions.

Ford added that about 94 percent of the total 1,258 vehicles experienced the same problem in the US and 90 in Canada. Everything will be serviced again before sending to the customer. Currently the dealer is checking the subframe bolts and will tighten them.

As for 75 Mustang Mach-E owners, the cars will be shipped back on March 22. The company has provided a withdrawal reference number 21S09.

The Mach-E Mustang is a very important vehicle for Ford. The reason is, this electric car is the first electric car he made to be marketed to consumers. The company claims that the electric vehicle has high quality for its buyers.

This recall is not Ford's first. Earlier, in January, the automaker announced that it was delaying the shipment of hundreds of cars for additional quality control.

However, it is not yet known what parts the electric car quality inspector checks. The company also has not explained in more detail regarding the inspection.

At the end of 2020, Ford successfully delivered the Mach-E Mustang to its buyers. Unfortunately, buyers are rumored to have encountered a number of issues that needed to be addressed. Apparently, the company learned valuable lessons from that experience.
