JAKARTA - During the pandemic, many Apple official outlets had to be closed. The company only serves online sales for buyers in the United States (US) and Europe.

Now Apple is rumored to have re-opened all of its outlets in the US for the first time, after being closed one year ago, as quoted from 9to5mac.

In March last year, Apple closed all of its stores except in China as part of efforts to reduce the spread of the coronavirus. Since then, Apple stores in the US have implemented an open and closed system. Stores are opened for services but not for buyers. As for purchases, the store will send the purchased products directly to the home address.

On Monday this week, Apple reopened its stores in Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio. That means as many as 270 official Apple physical outlets in the US are now reopening simultaneously.

As cited from Business Insider, Apple has also gradually increased the number of physical stores that allow consumers to buy products as usual. Although its online shop called Express has been operating in various locations during this pandemic.

This Express store has a counter and a glass wall in the front of the shop, where consumers can pick up the products they have ordered online at a specified time.

Based on the 9to5mac report, Apple reopened 24 stores located in several states including California, Kentucky, and New York. So that it allows consumers to shop again as usual starting Monday.

Nevertheless, shop managers are required to wear masks, apply social restrictions, and check the temperature of visitors who are going to shop.

In March, Apple expanded its physical store presence through a number of new stores at Target brand stores spread across several locations in the US.
