JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government has begun to develop a cashless payment system which is applied to a number of public facilities. Later, Jakarta residents will no longer need to carry cash for various purposes.

In supporting this, the Provincial Government does not want to be too dependent on conventional bank payment instruments. Therefore, the JakCard card belonging to the DKI Bank Region-Owned Enterprise (BUMD) has been maximized as a means of payment for a number of museums.

Museums that are facilitated by non-cash payments are the National Monument, Ragunan, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol and several Fatahillah Museums, Fine Arts and Ceramics Museum located in Kota Tua.

"In line with the times, Bank DKI realizes that the people of Jakarta need fast and practical services with the JakCard product," said Bank DKI Corporate Secretary Herry Djufraini to reporters, Saturday, November 23.

In addition, JakCard can also be used for transportation payment tools such as Transjakarta, Trans Mikro, MRT Jakarta, Soekarno Hatta Airport Railink, and Jakarta LRT which will operate in the near future.

So, JakCard holders do not need to hold two cards because this card can replace the Jaklingko payment instrument for taking mass transportation.

"This is a form of DKI Bank's support for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's work program which encourages the use of public transportation in DKI Jakarta and realizes a cashless society," said Herry.

JakCard can be obtained and reworked at Transjakarta bus stops, National Monument, and Ragunan Zoo.

In addition, to make it easier to recharge the Jakcard, it can be done through the JakOne Mobile Near Field Communication (NFC).

The way to top up with NFC JakOne Mobile is quite easy where the user selects the JakCard Refill menu then selects the option Check or Renew Balance. After that, users can simply stick the JakCard on the back of the smartphone that already has the NFC feature.
