JAKARTA - Social media was shocked by the re-emergence of the propaganda video of Adolf Hitler and Osama bin Laden. Hitler's video clip, which was translated using artificial intelligence (AI) into English, has been watched by tens of millions of users on Elon Musk's social media site, platform X.

In the video, Hitler calls for "the destruction of the Jewish race". Surprisingly, the video actually drew a lot of positive comments.

The Globalis are psychopaths slandering Hitler like they were trying to slander Putin? commented one user under the video. "It looks like so."

This viral phenomenon occurred due to Elon Musk's policy of 'absolute speech freedom' on his platform. This follows previous trends among Generation Z TikTok users who defended Osama bin Laden for the 9/11 terrorist attack.

Social theorists attributed the warming support for these figures to the shift in generation and interest in authoritarian rhetoric from American historical enemies.

"Several generations have passed since difficult times before. The elites forgot about it and began reconfiguring the economy in a way that benefits themselves," said ecologist Peter Turchin, to the Financial Times. "The question is whether there will be an outbreak of macro violence."

"I'm starting to think we may have lost PDII," commented one user with X's verified account on the AI-Hitler clip. It looks like these people are more concerned with their country above all else," wrote another.

Hitler was the leader of the Nazi Party who aimed at eliminating European Jews and other enemies who were considered a threat to Nazi Germany. His anti-Semitism led to the Holocaust, where six million Jews were killed by the Nazi regime.

The AI software used to produce Hitler's inciting video comes from the voice cloning startup ElevenLabs. The company recently faced surveillance when its technology was used to make robocall calls that mimic President Joe Biden.

Reactions to the video of course crossed various political ideologies. Many other X users also criticized Hitler's racist and anti-Semitic rhetoric made with AI, as well as those promoting it on the platform.

"The person who says he will never marry Taylor Swift because he is too old and that makes [Travis] Kelce gay is the same person who promoted Hitler's AI speech," said cybersecurity researcher @SwiftOnSecurity in a post, referring to right-wing troll Owen Benjamin.

"It's both interesting and terrifying, opening the minds of historical monsters," wrote another user.

Another social media platform, TikTok, faced a similar situation a few months ago. They criticized users who promoted the heinous letter written by Osama bin Laden regarding the September 11 attacks and pledged to remove any content referring to it.

"Contents promoting this letter clearly violate our rules about supporting all forms of terrorism," TikTokPolicy wrote in a post to X, formerly called Twitter. We are proactively and aggressively removing this content and investigating how that content got into our platform.

TikTok claims that the number of videos on their platform is slight and reports about its trend [on the platform] are inaccurate.
