Apple's 'Cheap' IPhone Is Canceled Due To COVID-19

JAKARTA - Apple was forced to reschedule the release of its cheap version of the iPhone, due to the corona virus outbreak. Where the iPhone 9 and iPhone 12 launch event should be held, on March 31.

Although it is not clear what the reason is, it postponed the launch of their two latest devices until an undetermined time limit. The reason is because, Apple is very worried that the event will worsen the spread of the corona virus outbreak in California, USA, as summarized by VOI from GSM Arena.

Moreover, the government of Santa Clara, Califonia, has also banned all large gathering activities and events from March 11 to April 1. This rule was enforced to anticipate the transmission of the corona virus.

There are also other reasons why the company from Cupertino has postponed the launch of its cheap version of the iPhone at the Steve Jobs Theater, Silicon Valley. Due to the supply of manufactured goods for a number of Apple devices being disrupted due to the corona virus.

Not only the launch of the cheap version of the iPhone and the iPhone 12 that must be rescheduled. Apple was also forced to compile a new schedule for its big annual event, namely the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference 2020 (WWDC).
