JAKARTA - Recently, applications and sites have emerged that offer cash rewards for users to simply watch TikTok advertisements or videos. Some of them have been blocked and declared as illegal investment entities or applications.

The TikTok Cash website was previously blocked by the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo). Because the platform does not have a license and is suspected of having a money game scheme, because there are no goods or services being sold.

The Ministry of Communication and Informatics has also done the same with the Vtube service as an illegal application, since June 2020. It is even said that the Vtube licensing process is under the supervision of the Financial Services Authority's Investment Alert Task Force (SWI).

Given the emergence of the Vtube application, which offers members reward points after watching advertisements on the platform. The points earned can be exchanged for cash.

Quoting an explanation from the Kemenkominfo's Instagram account, Vtube is a platform developed by PT. Future View (fvtech). The business focus of this company itself is engaged in advertising.

The way it works is to provide profit sharing to members who watch advertisements on the Vtube application or in short, anyone who registers on Vtube and watches the advertisements there will get points from every ad they watch.

Everyone who watches advertisements on that platform will get points called Vtube Points (VP). The points collected can be redeemed in the form of money by the users, which is equivalent to IDR 14,000 per 1 VP exchanged.

Not only watching advertisements, the source of income in the Vtube business can be obtained from referral points and point groups by inviting other people to join to register for Vtube with the referral code provided. The points collected can then be cashed in in the form of money.

Generally, new users will be offered to purchase mission level upgrades for relatively large profits and returns. For example, the user is offered to activate the 6 star level with 1 package costing 10 VP.

So in some time, users will get a multiple of VP up to 3500 VP. In other words, when a member wants to get a large profit, he must be willing to activate or upgrade the level by paying first.
