Getting To Know Victus Nox, A Responsive Launch Mission As A US Space Force Shield

Victus Nox is a mission of the United States Space Force (US). This mission managed to break a responsive launch record a few weeks ago.

As part of the Tactical Response Space (TacRS) demonstration, Victus Nox successfully launched a Satellite belonging to the Millennium Space Systems launched with Firefly Aerospace's Alpha launcher vehicle.

The mission was successfully launched on September 14 from the Space Launch Complex 2 West at the Vandenberg Space Force Base. This launch was successfully carried out just 27 hours after the launch order.

With the success of the Victus Nox mission, the US has shown that they are able to respond quickly to orbital needs if a conflict occurs or national security is in danger.

"The success of Victus Nox marks a change in our country's ability to prevent enemy aggression and, if necessary, respond with the necessary operational speed," said Space System Commander Lt. Gen. Michael Gutlein.

In line with its success, Victus Nox is designed to reduce time in working on space missions, from acquisitions to operations in orbit. So far, Victus Nox has just proven the success of its preparation and launch.

Therefore, the US Space Force is designing a new destination for the Victus Nox mission. Currently, they want to initialize space vehicles in orbit until these vehicles are able to operate in less than 48 hours.

For information, the Victus Nox mission was previously known as TacRL. After successfully carrying out the TacRL-2 mission in June 2021 with a responsive launch for 21 days, the Victus Nox mission was developed.

Victus Nox and TacRL-2 are two missions that have been successfully carried out by the US Space Force. They are trying to show that their Space System Command is capable of being responsible for a formidable combat capability through space excellence.
