TikTok Expands Series Features, Creators Can Upload Videos With A Duration Of Up To 20 Minutes

JAKARTA - TikTok launched its Series feature in March, but is only available for selected content creators. Now, many users can get money from the feature.

The series is a new way for creators to share premium content and currently those who qualify can post Collection behind paywall.

Fans of these creators can pay to watch their content, which can be purchased via a link in a live video or via a creator profile.

Creators can set the price of their Series. One Series can contain up to 80 videos, each lasting up to 20 minutes.

"Through the Series, creators can build stronger relationships with their audience while giving viewers other ways to support creators," TikTok said in its official blog, quoted Wednesday, June 7.

For creators who are interested, they should be 18 years of age and over, have an account that is at least 30 days old with at least 10,000 followers, post more than three public videos in the last 30 days, and have at least 1,000 authentic video views in the last 30 days, eligible to follow the Series.

However, creators with less than 10 thousand followers but meeting the requirements above can register by providing links to premium content that they previously sold on other platforms via Creator Center on the TikTok app.

TikTok insists, Series is currently still in its early stages, the company promises to improve creator experience to make it easier for them to generate revenue.
