JAKARTA - Twitter announced a new App Programting Interface (API) level. Dubbed Pro, developers can earn about one million tweets per month.

However, it is not the cheap price offered. Developers who are interested have to spend around US$5,000 or equivalent to Rp74 million per month.

Twitter explained, the new API Pro level will give developers the ability to take one million tweets per month and post 300,000 tweets per month.

They will also be given access to the endpoint for real-time filtered streaming (direct access to tweets based on the specified parameters) and complete archive searches from historical tweets.

Finally, billionaire Elon Musk's social media also added three application IDs and Login with Twitter access.

Calling all starts Today we are launching our new access tier, Twitter API Pro! Experiment, build, and scale your business with 1M Tweets per month, including our powerful real-time Filtered / Stream and Full Archive Search endpoints. We look forward to seeing what you...

However, if developers feel too expensive to pay the API Pro level, Twitter also still provides a base level of 100 US dollars (Rp1.4 million) per month and a company rate of 42,000 US dollars (Rp628 million) per month.

The company says the new level of API Pro is suitable for a startup that wants to experiment or improve their business.

Twitter has recently created a complicated road for developers. Earlier this year, the company announced it would close access to its free API level. However, it was later canceled by offering 1,500 tweets per month of free access to content provider bots.

The platform then launched three new API initial levels (free, basic, and corporate) in March before adding Pro levels today. Even so, it remains to be seen if this Twitter move could captivate new developers.
