JAKARTA - Kaspersky, a leading cybersecurity and digital privacy company, announced today the appointment of IT veteran Adrian Hia as the new Managing Director for Asia Pacific (APAC) and replaces Chris Connell.

Hia is ready to lead Kaspersky's efforts to expand market tracks, channel range, and new business growth in key areas of the region, especially in the fast-growing cybersecurity segment of the company.

Prior to joining Kaspersky, Hia was China Region's Senior Regional VP for ASEAN & Greater in Zscaler. Its deep experience in the IT industry also includes regional sales and channel tasks at VMWare, Oracle, and Sun Microsystems.

Hia also admitted that she is a frontline supporter of digital transformation and uses the power of new technology to enable business growth.

Hia earned a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science (Computer Technological University) from Nanyang Technological University. In this new position, Hia will be placed at Kaspersky's Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore.
