JAKARTA - Adobe Inc announced on Monday its plan to introduce a new artificial intelligence (AI) feature into the video editing software used by the film and television industry.

These features will allow video editing to do things like changing lighting in a scene from noon to dusk or producing background music by just typing a few words to tell what system to do. These features were developed based on a new system called Adobe Firefly introduced by the company last month to produce images and text.

Adobe is taking advantage of an increasing interest in generative AI triggered by support applications from Microsoft Corp, OpenAI and AI Stabilities that allow users to create new images with just a few description words.

However, after Getty Images sued AI Stability on the grounds that the startup used copyrighted images from getting it in its AI system training, legal questions arise about whether the outcome of such an AI system could be used for commercial work.

Adobe, as one of the biggest software suppliers to visual and video artists, guarantees its customers that the proceeds from their Firefly system will be within safe legal limits for use in commercial work.

Adobe's new video feature will allow users to tell AI systems to read scenarios and automatically generate storyboards for the finished section, even recommending some scenes for rough cuts from the story.

For the advertising industry, the system will include features that can take records and produce different background and background music to display ads in different countries.

"With one button, we can produce 1,000 versions of the same local video," said Ivo happened, Vice President of Adobe for Enterprise Digital and Audio Video Offers, in an interview with Reuters.

Adobe is testing the system now and plans to release this video feature by the end of this year.
