British Politicians Join The NFT Collection For Support Ukraine

JAKARTA - Member of the British Parliament, Matt Hancock, is fighting for blockchain technology by launching a new Non-Fungible Token (NFT) collection called "From Ukraine with Love".

The collection consists of painting artwork from Ukrainian artist Oleg Mischenko, before the war and will be sold at the NFT Gallery in Mayfair London on 27 February. The proceeds from the sale of this collection will be donated to the CARE International UK's Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal.

The NFT collection is curated by Irina Korobkina, who fled Kiev with her 5-year-old daughter after Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Hancock met with Korobkina in April 2022 and hosted her in England. Mischenko remains in Ukraine while painting in the midst of a war attack and only joined his family in December.

The collection also shows Hancock's support for using blockchain as technology and as part of a campaign to make Britain a "crypto center".

In an effort to promote its use case, Hancock expressed his pride in this charity NFT collection and called Mischenko a very talented artist.

Hancock once stated that the government cannot ignore emerging new technologies, including blockchain, when he served as Paymaster General in 2016.

He resurfaced as the face of crypto politics in the UK in 2022, with many appearances supporting British crypto. The NFT collection "From Ukraine with Love" can be found in the NFT Coinbase market starting February 27.
