LinkedIn Participates In Employee Layoffs, This Is An Affected Division!

JAKARTA - The storm of termination of employment (PHK) still hit Microsoft, now the same thing is also experienced by its subsidiary LinkedIn. However, it is not clear how many employees were affected.

Microsoft confirmed to The Information, where a number of LinkedIn employees were notified earlier this week.

The layoffs are said to be centered in LinkedIn recruitment division. However, there is no information about the number of workers affected, or the percentage of the company's total workforce.

In addition, the company has also announced a slowdown in recruitment and previously in November 2022, they have stopped it.

Launched in 2003, LinkedIn remains a business-focused social network and job recruitment, even after Microsoft acquired the company for more than $26 billion in 2016.

The service currently has more than 850 million members worldwide. Launching Neowin, Wednesday, February 15, Microsoft previously announced last month it plans to lay off about 10,000 workers, or five percent of its total workforce.

Covering massive cuts in the company's Mixed Reality division, game developer Halo 343 Industries and recently around 300 jobs in its GitHub division.

Amid the recent wave of layoffs felt by tech giants such as Meta, Google, Twitter and Zoom, many of their former employees rushed to beautify their LinkedIn page to find work, but in reality, the platform also lays off.
