JAKARTA - Nissan vehicle manufacturers reportedly recalled 64,700 second-generation electric cars Nissan Leaf EV in 2017-2023, globally some time ago.

According to a report from InsideEVs, the recall occurred due to an error in the driver's manual, which resulted in the manual giving false instructions on how to operate the defroster.

The Japanese automaker claims that the false instruction could lead to a decline in the performance of the defroster.

The manual states that the maximum fan speed must be activated. However, it will result in the heating entering the fail-safe mode and thus the defroster output will be limited.

Although this issue seems trivial, this issue is still considered quite serious for Nissan to issue full recall to all affected cars.

Produced from October 2017, the second generation Nissan Leaf has technology and a range that can be said to be below standard when compared to its competitors. However, that is not a problem, given the very affordable price.

Therefore, it is not too surprising to know that the Leaf will soon be replaced by a crossover.

The unnamed crossover is claimed to be sitting under Ariya in Nissan's ranks and will be built in Sunderland, England.

Based on the CMF-EV Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance platform, which is also used by the Ariya and Megane E-Tech. The crossover is expected to go on sale by 2025, with further details to be disclosed approaching that date.
