JAKARTA - Some time ago DoorDash launched several new security features including SafeDash Check-In, Real-time Security Alerts, and others in part.

Now, DoorDash is taking the next step forward by announcing a series of new safety initiatives to further help its employees stay safe and focused while on the road.

Some of the new initiatives are empowering some Dashers with advanced telematics, reducing the number of notifications while working, limiting interactions in the application, and making work easier.

DriveWell Trial Go

Partnering with Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT), the world's largest telematics service provider, DoorDash conducted a trial to give its employees access to participate in their DriveWell Go app.

The way it works is, this app uses key data on speed, distance traveled, and braking, to provide Dashers with useful and real-time insight into their driving.

Reducing Notifications When Disposing

To help employees stay focused while on the road, the company launches a feature that will reduce the number of notifications in the app Dasher may receive while taking orders. They will still receive certain notifications such as changing the delivery address, messages from their customers, or if the order has been transferred after expiration time. However, other notifications will be put to sleep until they finish doing their job.

This upgrade has rolled out to all iOS users and will be rolling out gradually to Android users in the coming months.

Limiting Customer Message Delivery

When a customer sends a message to their Dasher while their Dasher is driving, they will now receive a notification that their Dasher may be on its way.

One Tap Message

DoorDash is also testing a new one-tap response feature to make in-app messaging easier for Dasher. Dashers will have some automatic reply message templates that are commonly used to reply to, such as 'I'm on my way to the store' or 'I'm waiting for your order.'

making it easier to Reject Order

DoorDash will make it easier for its employees by testing how to refuse orders with two taps there. So, Dasher can refuse orders without having to open the app, but only via the button does not receive orders in the pop-up notification.

Make the New Dasher easier to understand How It Works

The new Dasher will have the opportunity to take part in a brief demonstration of orders in the app, as part of their registration process.

The demo will show them how DoorDash works, from taking orders to marking it's done.
