JAKARTA -- Netflix Inc has launched new stars for some of its upcoming programs, namely electric vehicles from General Motors and other automakers.
The streaming service announced an agreement on Thursday February 2 to feature vehicles including Chevrolet Bolt, the electric pickups of GMC Hummer and Cadillac Lyriq in TV series and films "if relevant."
The company will highlight ad partnership featuring Will Ferrell which will air during the February 12 Super Bowl. Netflix and GM call the agreement a "part of commitment to a more sustainable future." However, the financial provisions of the contract were not disclosed.
As reported by Reuters, Netflix said the agreement would help creators "get to understand more about how EVs can complete and improve their stories."
The show will feature GM electric vehicles including "Love is Blind", "Quaeer Eye", and "Unstable".
Netflix production will also include electric vehicles made by other automakers, Netflix said.
