Napoli Cooperates Upbit Crypto Company Becomes A Club Sponsor

JAKARTA Football giant from Italy, Napoli announced its official partnership with one of the leading South Korean crypto exchanges, Upbit. This is Napoli's step in cooperating with foreign fintech to become its sponsor during this season and next season.

SSC Napoli is an Italian professional football club competing in the main Serie A league. Napoli is currently the leader of the Serie A standings which has 41 points, followed by AC Milan, Juventus, and Inter Milan.

Napoli's partnership with Upbit includes all Serie A matches, the Coppa Italia, and the Napoli friendly match, which will place the Upbit crypto exchange logo under the player's jersey number. The company's logo will also appear on advertising boards around the Diego Armando Maradona Stadio in Naples.

"This will take effect for the next team Serie A match on Wednesday, January 4, against Inter," Napoli said in a press release.

On the other hand, the club also emphasized the importance of partnership with Dunamu Inc., as the operator behind the Upbit crypto exchange as a club's attempt to expand its fan base in South Korea.

Kim scored twice in his first few weeks with Napoli, making him the second highest scorer to ever play in Serie A. His team is currently top of the league table and remains unbeaten at home throughout the 2022-2023 season.

"We are very pleased to have reached this agreement with South Korean company Dunamu, a leader in its sector," said Tommso Bianchini, Napoli's head of international development.

"We want to warmly welcome Upbit into our family and we hope to work together and enlarge our presence in South Korea," added Bianchini.

Meanwhile, Dunamu Inc. positively welcomed the partnership with the Napoli football club and called it one of the largest football clubs in the world.

"You are very happy with our new partnership with SSC Napoli, one of the biggest and most prestigious football clubs in the world. We are grateful for the warm welcome and are very happy to be part of the journey with SSC Napoli, including star defender Kim Min-jae," said CEO Dunamu Sirgoo Lee as quoted by Bitcoin.com News.

Apart from Napoli, another Italian football giant that has entered into a partnership with a crypto company is AC Milan. Milan first collaborated with the Bitmex crypto exchange in August 2021. It didn't stop there, Juventus and Inter are also exploring partnerships with crypto exchange Bitget and Zytara Labs, a leading blockchain company.
